The Danville Police Department consists of ten sworn officers: the police chief,one sergeant, one corporal, four full-time patrolmen and three part-time patrolmen. The Department is a full-time police department with a patrolman on duty at all times, 24 hours per day. The Department handles all law enforcement duties within Danville Borough and is headed by its civilian leader, Mayor Bernie Swank.
