How Do I File a Complaint?

When are Christmas trees collected, and what is done with them?

The Borough collects Christmas trees throughout Danville at curbside.

When is leaf collection done?

From October 1st through December 31st, the Borough of Danville collects leaves on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings. Leaves are machine (vacuum) collected at curbside only. From January 1st through September 30th, leaves must be bagged in order to be collected by the Borough. When does the Borough's budget process begin?

The Borough has a calendar fiscal year, meaning it runs from January 1st through December 31st. Annually, Borough Staff begins working on the new budget for the following year in September. A 1st draft is presented to the Finance Committee in October, and the committee meets as many times as necessary thereafter until a final draft is completed. A budget must be adopted by December 31st.

When and in what order is snow removal completed?

Plowing is typically initiated when there is an accumulation of 2 inches or more of snow, while deicing and anti-skid procedures are initiated as conditions warrant.

The Borough’s Snow & Ice Emergency Plan gives the highest priority to heavy-volume, snow emergency routes as defined in Chapter 131, Section 40 of Borough Code. 2nd priority is given to all major streets leading to Geisinger Medical Center. 3rd priority is given to primary and secondary streets. 4th priority is given to all alleys. Lastly, lowest priority is given to municipal parking lots.

When is line painting done?

The Streets Department repaints lines throughout the Borough in the mid-summer every year.

When are potholes repaired?

The Streets Department repairs all potholes throughout the Borough annually from late August through early September.
